Wilson Introduces the New
HP Dura-Blade™ Parting Tool

Fabricators have long waited for a solution to the problems associated with parting sheet metal. Previously fabricators were forced to make modifications to existing tools or had to settle for tools not specifically designed to meet the rigors of parting applications. This led to diminished tool life and decreased productivity.
Now Wilson Tool has developed the Dura-Blade
Parting Tool specifically for parting applications.
Convenience
of HP Tooling
The Dura-Blade tool is the latest addition
to the Wilson High Performance (HP) thick turret family.
Dura-Blade incorporates all the features and benefits of
Wilson's HP tooling. This includes a quick release stripper
plate retention system, making tool changes fast and easy.
Timesaving features of the HP line include push button punch
length adjustments allowing for click-and-turn adjustments
in .005" increments without disassembly. No shimming is required,
and there is no need to measure the punch length. Simply
assemble, push and twist to adjust the punch length to the
stripper.
Dura-Blade's unique replaceable insert design
allows for blade insert changes by removing a single bolt.
This allows quick tool changes without disassembling the
guide assembly.
Durability of Ultima Tool Steel
Dura-Blade's
replaceable blade insert is made from Ultima™ Premium
Tool Steel giving the user longer tool life and extending
periods between regrinds up to 100% over conventional steels.
Ultima also significantly reduces micro chipping on the cutting
edge. Micro chipping is most often where the punch cutting
edge begins to break down. By reducing breakage, chipping,
cracking, and tool fatigue, Ultima provides long-term gains in productivity
and profitability.
Designed specifically for parting applications
using the 3-1/2" (D) station
in the Finn-power turret punch press, the HP Dura-Blade tooling system
for thick turret gives the fabricator an effective option for the daily
rigors of sheet metal parting.
