Brazilian Metal Forming & Fabricating
Conference a Big Hit for Finn-Power

Last October 21-23, Finn-Power and its Brazilian dealer ASAMAQ participated in Corte & Conformaçâo De Metais, said to be South America's largest metal forming and fabricating event, at the Expo Center Norte, Sâo Paulo, Brazil.

The Finn-Power/ASAMAQ booth attracted many visitors each day of the conference.

The exhibit and technical conference was a true international event for Finn-Power, with personnel from several countries participating. Mikko Lindström, president, and Bob Kolcz, director marketing & corporate communications represented Finn-Power International. Johannes Ulrich, manager, laser division, Finn-Power Oy, and Andrew McCarlie, applications engineer, Vancouver, B.C., were featured speakers at the conference. Ulrich presented a discussion on the latest trends in laser technology while McCarlie presented overviews on evolving turret punch press and tooling technologies, flexible manufacturing, and advances in sheet metal bending.

Finn-Power's booth consisted of the four stations highlighting the above mentioned sheet metal fabrication technologies, supported with educational posters and videos at each station. To graphically demonstrate the productivity of the various technologies, various numbers of parts were included in each station. These parts were fabricated at the FEIMAFE Trade Fair, held last May in Sâo Paulo.

"We were very pleased by the number of visitors to our booth and at our technical conference presentations," explains Mikko Lindström. "Antonio Roberto Pereira and the entire ASAMAQ team are outstanding partners. Brazil continues to be an extremely important market to Finn-Power."
