Robotic Press Brake Now Available from Finn-Power
Finn-Power International, Inc. has introduced a Robotic Press Brake designed to reach a new level of productivity. These units provide unmanned bending at maximum speed, quicker setups and changeover times,
and produce exceptionally consistent parts.
Models are available for 55-176 tons and working lengths of 8-13 feet. By combining the Press Brake with a robot, Finn-Power can form large or small parts with a variety of profiles. Accurate positioning for
bending is achieved using high-quality sensors for both back gauge fingers. Unlike some of the competitive models that are mounted to the frame and limits
the weight, the Finn-Power Robot is independent from the Press Brake and has weight capacity of 143 lbs. An additional 7th servo axis increases versatility for bending and material handling operations.
Finn-Power press brakes are designed for high-precision performance in the most demanding of production facilities. The B-Series utilizes new Finn-Power
hydraulic technology in combination with the technology of Delem controls to provide very fast and smooth operations.
The Finn-Power press brakes feature a rigid, non-binding ram guiding system that is extremely accurate. By fastening the piston shaft to the top beam through
spherical surfaces, the effect of horizontal loads during the working stroke has been eliminated. Finn-Power provides one of the most rigid CNC back gauges in
the industry. The 28-inch back gauge is bolted directly to the bottom of the bed of the machine and with usage of linear bearings and precision ground ball screws
and drive belts offer the accuracy needed in today’s marketplace. Brush table front support arms are attached to the front of the bed for easy adjustment both vertically and horizontally.
The B-Series also provides a very easy station to perform programming and machine setup. During the programming process, the operator can select and edit
the bending sequence if so desired. Programming can also be done using tonnage or positioning, making this press brake a very flexible machine, capable of air bending and bottom bending within a single part.
Finn-Power Bendlink software is used for producing work queues for the robot and for ordering flat components from the automated storage. For batch changes,
Bendlink automatically changes the programs for the robot and the press brake. The system can also be integrated into a Night Train Flexible Manufacturing System.
